Let’s talk about full-spectrum CBD oil. For years at ICARIA, our main priority was to avoid THC and to make safe products for everyone to use. For that reason, all of our CBD oils were made with CBD isolate and contain 0% THC… until now.
Since we are launching our very first full-spectrum CBD oil and you probably have a lot of questions, let us answer them one by one.
What is the difference between CBD isolate and full-spectrum CBD oil?
The names are quite self-descriptive:
- CBD isolate is one cannabinoid – cannabidiol or CBD
- Full-Spectrum CBD is many cannabinoids, 95% of them still being cannabidiol or CBD
Does full-spectrum CBD oil contain THC?
Yes, it does, but less than 0.1% of the total cannabinoids.
It is a very small amount, however, so far at ICARIA, we were all about avoiding THC because when we launched there was very little trust towards CBD products and we wanted to make sure women saw the benefits of CBD and would not be afraid to use it. So we opted for a CBD isolate that has 0.0% THC.
Now we feel like the market has changed and we as women are not as worried about hemp-derived products and a small amount of THC.
Can I get high from taking Full-Spectrum CBD oil?
It is quite difficult to get high since the amount of THC is so little. You would have to take a very high dosage of CBD oil and in that case, if you are feeling a bit different, it would probably be due to the amount of CBD in your system.
That being said, some people might be very sensitive to THC and in that case, we would just recommend using CBD isolate.
Is it better than CBD isolate?
There is a time and a place for each one of them.
Full-spectrum CBD oils have a so-called entourage effect. This simply means that a variety of cannabinoids work together in synergy and thus can have a stronger health benefit.
For certain health conditions, it is more evident and useful than for others like when it comes to decreasing pain or fighting insomnia.
However, in some cases, women prefer taking CBD oil made with isolate because they report that full-spectrum CBD oil makes them a bit tired. So CBD isolate becomes a preferred form to take in the morning, especially before work.
Keep in mind that we are all very different and some women say they feel the difference and some say that they don’t. Only by trying both do you know what works best for you and your health.
Also, it is important to note that even though THC is very low in full-spectrum CBD oil, if you need to pass a drug test at work, we would recommend sticking with CBD isolate.
I have been using CBD oil made with CBD isolate for a while, should I switch to full-spectrum?
It is really up to you! If you are taking CBD oil for pain management or sleep and you are not worried about a small amount of THC, we would recommend trying full-spectrum and seeing if you like it.
If you are taking CBD oil in the morning for stress and anxiety and you are already feeling like you need 2 coffees to even start the day, then maybe stick to CBD isolate until you feel like your energy levels are a bit more balanced.
Does full-spectrum CBD oil taste differently?
Yes, full-spectrum CBD oil has a slight “marijuana” taste. Don’t worry, our CBD oils are all made from American-grown hemp. THEIA Full-Spectrum is made with only MCT coconut oil and full-spectrum CBD, but it does have a mild flavor that is different from our original THEIA.
Where do I buy full-spectrum CBD oil?
Please follow this link to get your full-spectrum CBD oil. It is the same price as our original products made with CBD isolate.
Summary
in North America, full-spectrum CBD oil has become very popular among women for its strong health benefits. At ICARIA we strive to provide the best quality product that is safe and effective. It was a long debate whether full-spectrum CBD oil aligns with the values of ICARIA since we pride ourselves on not having any THC in our products. We also put a lot of effort into simplifying CBD by delivering a limited number of products that are easy to choose from.
However, our #1 goal is always the same – to make products that actually work. After extensive research, trying a lot of products, getting you to try different products, and collecting your feedback, we decided that it is time to introduce full-spectrum CBD oil, even though it has a little bit of THC and it potentially can add confusion to which product to choose.
